Nancy Brightwell

My work is a reflection of my passion for the beauty and versatility of glass. I am inspired by the way that light interacts with the material and how it can be manipulated to create unique shapes and textures.

Through the kiln-forming process, I am able to transform flat sheets of glass into three-dimensional objects that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand, using techniques such as fusing, slumping, and casting.

My goal as an artist is to create pieces that not only showcase the inherent beauty of glass, but also evoke an emotional response in the viewer. I strive to push the boundaries of what is possible with the medium, experimenting with new techniques and incorporating other materials to create truly unique works of art.

Ultimately, my hope is that my kiln-formed glass pieces will bring joy and beauty to those who view and use them.
